Background
Jonny commenced his technology career in 2001 at The Royal Bank of Scotland in Edinburgh, where he gained invaluable insights into corporate structures, processes, governance, and the vital role of IT within these frameworks.
Over the years, Jonny collaborated with numerous agencies, suppliers, and corporations across diverse industries and held various IT support positions. During this time, he began specialising in messaging and transitioned into the role of Lead Messaging Engineer. Later, he became the Technical Lead for Ernst and Young, supervising the largest migration project of that period, which involved relocating over 250,000 mailboxes to the cloud.
As a Technical Architect, Jonny now leverages his 17 years of experience across support, engineering, and analysis roles to inform his design and architectural work. The idea for a specialist consultancy that delivers bespoke programs of work emerged from numerous conversations between Stephen and Jonny. They envisioned a compact, cohesive team with complementary skill sets that could effectively deliver high-quality projects to their clients – and thus, Brickley Group was born.
Jonny currently resides in Manchester with his partner, Sophia, having recently relocated from London. With his immediate family now living in Australia, he cherishes spending time with his extended family and friends in the local area when he’s not designing solutions for clients. A passionate sportsman, Jonny regularly plays football, tennis, and golf. He also enjoys attending music festivals both domestically and internationally and has a penchant for performing as a tech house DJ.
